DOING WATER RIGHT: Managing Stormwater
with Blue-Green Technology
With
stormwater runoff the leading cause of water pollution to
our nation's coastal areas, rivers and lakes, it is high time
that we learn to manage runoff in the way that nature manages
it when given a chance. Doing Water Right looks at seven case
studies where engineers and landscape architects have tried
to design systems that mimic natural hydrologic processes
and allow soil and vegetation to retain water and remove pollutants.
DOING WATER RIGHT was commissioned by the Great
Swamp Watershed Association and is companion to a technical
handbook. It is intended for use by local planning boards,
conservation commissions, public works, landscape architects
and designers, and watershed associations.
